The Amritsar Vikas Manch (Regd.) is a non profit making community development Organization, registered in India. We are committed for the all round development of the Urban Habitat of the Holy city - Amritsar.

Amritsar Vikas Manch (AVM) was established in the year 1991, under the far sighted vision of Singh Sahib Giani Kirpal Singh Ji, the organization was established keeping in view of the vision given by Guru Arjan Dev Ji in his words "Vasdi Sanghan Apaar Anup Ramdaspur".

Established over a decade ago, Amritsar Vikas Manch the organization as NGO is listed with Punjab State Council for Science & Technology in advisory & supportive role in Environment related issues. We enjoy Category One Consultative Status in issues related to Amritsar and are most vocal to press for rights of the citizens of Amritsar. As a community organization we support the Aims, Objectives, Principles and Ideals of the community service as per the UN Charter. The organization is making important contributions toward improving Urban Habitat and implementation of 'Millennium Development Goals'. We support the UNEP- Billion Tree Pledge, "Earth Charter" Campaign and global goal to eliminate poverty.

Amritsar Vikas Manch is a registered NGO comprising of socially committed teachers, doctors, professionals, advocates, government officials, industrialists , businessmen with a vision of guiding the overall development of the Holy city - Amritsar. Its strength are this group of concerned individuals from different walks of life who really care for their city. The organization is playing an active role for all round development of the city by taking up issues related to airport, roads, pollution and civic amenities with concerned authorities.

The organization as NGO is also listed with Punjab State Council for Science & Technology for giving an advisory & supportive role in Environment related issues.
